ANNUAL CENSUS OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS 2014

This Annual Census of Primary Care Providers is being conducted statewide and will be used to identify underserved communities and designate federal Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) for primary care providers. Information collected from this census allows qualifying counties to participate in workforce development programs that support primary care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who practice in underserved areas.  These programs include the National Health Service Corps (NHSC),  Tennessee State Loan Repayment Program (TSLRP) and the J1-Visa Waiver program.  In addition, the survey results provide information that assists in important policy and planning decisions that improve the availability of primary care throughout the state
