Nominate a Student for Commencement Program Profile

Help us recognize a graduating student who has persevered through meaningful challenges and inspired others along the way.

Santa Monica College will highlight 4–6 outstanding graduates in the Commencement Program (print and digital), and we invite you to submit a nomination.

Eligibility

Nominated students must be graduating in 2025–2026 with a degree or certificate.
(Students transferring without a degree or certificate are not eligible. Please encourage them to apply for graduation—they may still qualify.)

Deadline

April 21 at 12:00 p.m.

Before You Submit

Please confirm the student’s eligibility
Speak with the student to ensure they are willing to participate

If selected:

The student will be interviewed by a writer
A signed release will be required
Profiles will be published in print and digital formats and cannot be removed once published
