STEM Communication Survey

Introduction & Informed Consent

This is a survey designed to discover information about the perceived need for communication and ethics curriculum in current STEM programs. The report findings will be shared at a conference and perhaps at a later date as part of a publication.  The survey contains questions about your perceptions of existing communication and ethics components and questions about whether these should/should not be included in STEM education efforts.

The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete; there are no right or wrong answers to the survey -- just work quickly and record your first impression. You will not be identified individually by your responses and all results will be presented only in aggregate format to  others if the findings are presented at a conference or published. The answers you provide will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law. We will not collect information that would let us identify you as an individual; ip addresses will not be collected in the course of the study and results will only be shared in aggregated form. Your confidentiality will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used. Specifically, no guarantees can be made regarding the interception of data sent via the Internet by any third parties. There are no foreseeable risks to you as a participant in this project; nor are there any direct benefits. However, your input is extremely valued and may indirectly relate to STEM curriculum changes.
