The Larimer Workforce Center (LCWC) and BizWest Media are joining forces once again to present the annual Bixpo/Workforce Symposium.
The Bixpo side of the event features exhibits, business networking and
BixTalks, lively,
10-minute topical business presentations scattered throughout the exhibition (similiar to the TED Talks concept).
The Symposium showcases keynote speakers, panelists and table discussions focused on today’s most important workforce issues. This year’s Workforce Symposium themes are
- Filling skills gaps through strategic partnerships, and
- Supporting your workforce to meet business goals.
While we have already attracted several speakers for the Symposium,
we are still seeking innovative, creative approaches to a variety of business topics for the BixTalks. See our list of topics below. We urge you to respond to this request for proposals.
Our goal for the event is to offer the business community an opportunity to learn from and collaborate with others who engage in
innovative models and best practices to find, engage, and develop current talent, future leaders, and on how to make a business grow and prosper.
The Committee will seek a wide variety of examples. If your proposal content or your Northern Colorado-based organization fit any of the following categories, you are encouraged to submit a proposal.
If the committee accepts your proposal, you will be invited to share your story as a 10-minute BixTalks showcase speaker at
People, Productivity and Profits on September 17 at First National Bank Building at The Ranch in Loveland CO.
Speakers will be selected through the following process:
- Proposals must be received by May 13, 2015, to be considered.
- All proposals must be complete.
- The selection committee consists of representatives from the Larimer County Workforce Center, BizWest Media, and stakeholders from workforce development and economic development initiatives in Northern Colorado.
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Proposed models, best practices, partnerships, and strategies must impact the workforce, the economy, an industry, or an organization that is located in Northern Colorado. For the purpose of this event, Northern Colorado is defined as: Larimer, Boulder, Weld, and Southern Wyoming communities.
