Champions: Participation Statement

Work@Health® Wellness Partners & Champions

Work@Health® is a comprehensive workplace health training program that supports employers of various sizes, industry sectors, and geographic areas. The program trains employers on how to improve the health of their workers and their families through science-based prevention and wellness strategies. These strategies include interventions to address chronic health conditions; specifically, heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and obesity.

What is a Work@Health® Wellness Champion?

Work@Health® Wellness Champions are organizations and/or employers that have demonstrated a commitment to promoting the Work@Health® program within their respective networks.
 
Recognized Work@Health® Wellness Champions will use their networks and contacts to promote the Work@Health® program to potential employers and professionals with an interest in becoming Work@Health® certified trainers.

These organizations include:
  • Health departments
  • Business coalitions
  • Professional associations
  • Public health‐based non‐profits
  • Trade associations
 
Work@Health® Wellness Champion Benefits
  • Recognized by the CDC as an official Work@Health® program partner (Listed on all outreach and recruitment materials; Social media mentions; and Featured in quarterly Work@Health® newsletter)
  • Build the worksite wellness expertise and capacity of your organization and members.
  • Access to the most up‐to‐date worksite wellness resource materials, which can be shared with the Wellness Champion’s networks.
  • Priority placement for future Work@Health® training opportunities and classes.
 As a Work@Health® Wellness Partner and Champion, you commit to:
  • Promote the Work@Health® program to your network with the goal of recruiting them to participate
  • Appoint a Work@Health® point of contact responsible for coordinating Work@Health® promotion
  • Assist the Work@Health® team raising program and worksite wellness awareness
  • Consider participating in the Train-the-Trainer program in order to gain the experience to deliver it directly to more constituency members.
