Terms
This application is for Etsy Team Captains or Leaders (“Captains”) organizing a selling event (an “Event”) seeking financial and other support from Etsy, Inc. (“Etsy”). Applications can be for a Seed Event, a Root Event or a Bloom Event.
Seed Event
A Seed Event consists of 15 to 34 sellers using the Sell on Etsy Reader (“Reader”) at an Event.
Support for a Seed Event includes:

Box of Sell on Etsy readers

Box of Etsy swag, which may include things like branded Etsy stickers or signage

Promotion via Etsy Local
-
up to $250 to be paid directly to event space or other service provider, such as a caterer, photographer, or entertainment vendor
Root Event
A Root Event consists of 35 to 74 sellers using the Sell on Etsy Reader (“Reader”) at an Event.
Support for a Root Event includes:

Box of Sell on Etsy readers

Box of Etsy swag, which may include things like branded Etsy stickers or signage

Promotion via Etsy Local
-
up to $1000 to be paid directly to event space or other service provider, such as a caterer, photographer, or entertainment vendor
Bloom Event
A Bloom Event consists of 75 or more sellers using the Sell on Etsy Reader (“Reader”) at an Event.
Support for a Bloom Event includes:

Box of Sell on Etsy readers

Box of Etsy swag, which may include things like branded Etsy stickers or signage

Promotion via Etsy Local

Devoted promotional email to local buyers merchandised with vending seller items

up to $2500 to be paid directly to event space or other service provider, such as a caterer, photographer, or entertainment vendor
In order to receive support from Etsy, Captains agree to do the following:
- Submit this application
- Create an Etsy Local event listing at www.etsy.com/local at least one month prior to the Event;
- Have their vendors join the event on Etsy Local at least one month prior to the Event;
- Send Etsy a list of vendors to cross-reference with their Etsy Local listing at least one month prior to the Event;
- Have their vendors agree to exclusively use Readers to accept credit card payments during the Event; (Etsy reserves the right to verify that vendors use Readers)
- Distribute Readers to vendors prior to the Event; and
- Submit invoice and W9 to Etsy from their event space or other event service provider of their choice. Etsy will only provide payment to one (1) vendor, and will only pay up to the amount listed in the Event tiers. Etsy requires at least two (2) weeks to issue payment and will only pay via check.
If your application is accepted, you will also be required to do the following:
- Issue a press releases about the Event to free event listing websites and local press, and include an “About the Team” and “About Etsy” section at the bottom of the press release (Etsy can provide you with language and guidance on how to do this);
- Complete a survey after the Event with information on attendee numbers, press mentions, photographs of Event, and Event sponsors; and
- Promote the Event in at least one post on a social media channel (including Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) mentioning @etsy #EtsyTeams in the month prior to the Event.

You understand and agree that Etsy is not liable for any activity at the Event, and Etsy is not a party to any agreement between Captains, Teams or their service providers, including the venue of the Event. Captains or Teams are responsible for complying with all local laws and obtaining any necessary permits or insurance. Etsy reserves the right to withhold support if it reasonably believes that a Captain has breached these terms. Etsy agrees to provide support while supplies last.
