2016 Call for Participation



Call for Participation

Please submit paper that can be connected to one of the following tracks:
  • Start Your Capability Journey - This track is for beginners interested in learning more about how organizations assess, build and improve their capabilities.  Topics include the compelling reasons why capability counts, how to sell capability improvement to the C-suite, how to use the CMMI Models, experiences with the CMMI appraisal process, & how to get started with CMMI. 
  • CMMI On Board - This track is for those already on their capability journey and features case studies from organizations who have delivered successful products or projects while using the CMMI. We're looking for specific examples with lessons learned, measurable results, and examples of how your advanced capability improved the outcome.
  • Advancing Your Capability - This track is for those with advanced skills in capability management and improvement. It will focus on how organizations leverage their capability, outpace the competition, and demonstrate best practices.

Please provide the following for your submission:
  • Abstract including title of presentation
  • A list of 4-6 key takeaways from your experience
  • Learning objectives
  • Results
  • Presenter portfolio (provide information showing your experience presenting) including conferences where you have spoken with dates, webinars, links to videos.
  • Deadline for submission: Extended to September 30th
Selection Process:
  • All presentations submitted to the Call for Participation will be reviewed by CMMI Institute staff as well as the program committee members.
  • Submissions will be reviewed in alignment with the timeline for submission.
  • You will hear within eight weeks of the submission deadline if you have been accepted to present.  
  • Selected presenters will receive further instructions upon their acceptance.
 Presentation Details
 If your presentation is selected you will:
  • Present for 30-35 minutes, allowing some time for question and answer with attendees. (These will be 40 minute sessions).
  • Create a PowerPoint slide deck (template will be provided to presenters which they will be required to use).
  • All speakers will be provided a special presenter rate for registration and are responsible for their own travel expenses.

7. Much of the conference will be recorded for later distribution by the CMMI Institute. Please confirm that you have permission to present the content you are submitting, and that the presentation can be recorded for later distribution. *This question is required.
