Join the Australian Business Traveller team as an international correspondent

Australian Business Traveller is growing – and we’re looking for the right people to become part of an expanded AusBT team.

We're already the most popular site in the Asia-Pacific region for business travellers and frequent flyers; now we're looking for an international correspondent to help us cover the global scene.

This position is suitable for somebody living in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the UK or the Americas  – geography is no barrier – and we can offer salaried full-time or part-time employment (we're also willing to consider freelance contributors, depending on your specialist skills).

As an international correspondent for Australian Business Traveller you’ll be researching and writing daily news articles and features about issues relevant to our core audience of business travellers and frequent flyers.

Yes, this could just be your dream job: but we're very selective about who we bring on board, because this is not an easy job. It can be fun, but it's also very demanding. Beginners and amateurs need not apply.

While a background in journalism is desired it's not essential – it’s more important that you have solid research and writing abilities (including the ability to write in an engaging style for a clearly-defined readership) and are highly knowledgeable on the core content of Australian Business Traveller, such as
  • airlines and their frequent flyer schemes
  • hotels and their loyalty schemes
  • airline seats, suites and lounges, as well as 'soft product'
If you're interested in bringing your skills onto a global stage, as a member of one of the world's leading websites in its field, complete this Expression of Interest form and we'll take things from there.

Note that this form is more complex than just asking for your contact details – we're keen to see your social media profile, references to your work, and examples of your ideas – so please allow up to 20 minutes to complete it.
