The Jewish Federation's Richard & Geri Brawerman Fellowship Application 2016

Eligibility Guidelines

In order to be considered, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. The applicant must have a record of leadership, active participation in community service and commitment to the Jewish community of Los Angeles.

2. The applicant must show significant financial need.

3. The applicant must be a Jewish graduating high school senior who will be a freshman at an accredited four-year college/university for the 2016-2017 academic year.

4. The applicant must be a legal resident of Los Angeles County for a minimum of three years as of September 2016.

5. The applicant's parent(s) must be permanent residents of Los Angeles.

6. The applicant must have a cumulative high school Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (unweighted).

The Brawerman Fellowship will be highly selective and will be available to four recipients this year.  As part of the application process, the finalists will be asked to attend a mandatory in-person interview which will be held mid April at The Jewish Federation in Los Angeles. The recipients of the Brawerman Fellowship will be notified by the end of April 2016.
