Informed Consent
PURPOSE & PARTICIPATION: In order to qualify for participation, you must be willing to identify yourself as a Democrat. The purpose of these studies is to examine how people living in the United States feel about a range of topics. In this study you will be asked to indicate your thoughts and opinions regarding different issues, be asked to read other people's opinions, and respond to them. This study will take about 15 minutes of your time.
RISKS & BENEFITS: There are minimum risks associated with this study. We expect this research to benefit the field of psychology by advancing the knowledge in the field.
VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION: Please understand that participation is completely voluntary. You have the right to withdraw from the research at any time without penalty. You also have the right to refuse to answer any question(s) for any reason, without penalty.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Your individual privacy will be maintained in all publications or presentations resulting from this study. No identifying information will be collected during the study and all information collected will be used for the sole purpose of data analysis and not shared with anyone outside of the research team. In order to preserve the confidentiality of your responses, we have not asked for your name or any other possible identifying information about yourself on the survey to ensure confidentiality.
