Dear Minister,

Over 80 per cent of people working in nursing and midwifery would consider abandoning the professions if penalty rates were cut, jeopardising Australia’s entire health care system.

This Festive Season, as nurses, midwives and personal care assistants spend this precious time away from their family caring for others, I call on you to commit to protecting weekend, shift work and public holiday penalty rates for all workers across Australia.
