Park Woodlawn Neighborhood Branding Survey

A group of business owners, leaders and residents have formed a committee to brand the neighborhood defined by the intersection of Park Road and East Woodlawn Road in Charlotte. The area is currently anchored by Park Road Shopping Center and Montford Drive and has a significant pipeline of new development planned.

An initial public survey was conducted in August 2015, revealing a long list of suggested names for the neighborhood. The committee mentioned above was formed this fall to narrow down this list and move the neighborhood branding initiative forward.

Through multiple meetings and discussions the committee narrowed the name suggestions from over 50 to four main themes that are presented in this survey. In addition to conducting this survey, a community meeting will be held on January 20th to allow those in the neighborhood to offer their opinion on a name and logo design. Also up for discussion will be the defined boundaries of the neighborhood. The meeting will be held at 6:30pm at Pfeiffer University on Park Road.
