Do you identify as LGBTQ?
Have you had heterosexist experiences that bother you?

Participate in online exercises that are designed to help.

LGBTQ-affirmative researchers at the University of Massachusetts Boston are developing online exercises to help sexual minority people with their experiences of heterosexism (including homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination).  In this study, we are asking LGBTQ people who have had heterosexist experiences to participate in some of these writing exercises. There is a great need to develop interventions to address heterosexist experiences. Research has produced considerable evidence that writing exercises can be an effective way to work through challenging experiences. We are interested in learning about your thoughts and experiences.

Benefits: You will be eligible to enter a raffle for a $100 Amazon Giftcard if you participate, and will receive an $80 Giftcard if you complete the study as directed (about 3 hours of time spread across 5 days). Also, you could learn about yourself and develop new insights and strategies. And, you would make a contribution to LGBTQ mental health research that could help other people who have had heterosexist experiences.
