Introductory Information
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am inviting you to participate in my Master thesis research. This survey covers the issue of strategic alliance stability.
The main assumption of the study is that you have experience of dealing with strategic alliances, e.g. the company you are (were) working in is (was) involved in a strategic alliance as a partner who forms an alliance, or you personally work(ed) in a strategic alliance itself. However, there is no specific requirement for the type of the alliance. For instance, it can be a joint venture, a collaborative agreement in fields of marketing or knowledge exchange, supply chain collaboration agreement, etc. Also, there is no requirement on the number of alliance partners who form an alliance, so it can be formed by two or multiple participants (partners).
Please, for the purpose of this study, pick up one alliance based on your preference, even if you have experience of dealing with more than one strategic alliance.
Please, note that a term "participant", used further in a questionnaire, means "partner company that forms an alliance", and often represents itself, e.g., with its owners or managers.
If you feel unsure about the precise answer, please, rely on what you assume to be true about the alliance you have chosen.
