The Mayor's Youth Council is a team of 85 teenagers who advise Mayor Walsh on policy and programming and also manage $1,000,000 of the city's budget. In order to join the youth council, you must:
- be entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in September 2016 (or comparable age if you’re not currently in school)
- be a resident of the City of Boston
The Mayor’s Youth Council is a year round commitment – expect to devote 8 to 13 hours a month to meetings, events, projects, and outreach.
