Interactive Copyright and Licensing Guide

Interactive Copyright and Licensing Guide

This guide will provide you with more information about open licensing and walk you through all the steps needed to comply with OSPI's Copyright and Open Licensing Policy.

The policy defines the copyright owner for any materials created by Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) employees, contractors, and grantees. It also clarifies the requirement for open licensing of those materials used in educational programs.

Examples of where this policy applies, include:
  • PowerPoint slides
  • Reports
  • Photos and Images
  • Brochures/flyers
  • Posters
  • Instructional materials
  • Web pages

Note: If you are not an OSPI staff member, contractor, or grantee, please feel free to download the documents under the "Resources for other site visitors" section for a version of the information that is not specific to OSPI.
