Fieldwork is one of the most important phases of your counselor preparation program. Please be certain that you have fulfilled all of the requirements so that there will be no delay in the processing of your application. A permit for your enrollment will not be made until all requirements have been completed and the application is submitted on time.
Requirements for COUN 5289- Marriage and Family Therapy Fieldwork
1. Admission to the M.S. in Counseling Program
2. Completion of the following courses and in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or above):
COUN 5000, 5005, 5200, and 5230
3. Read the MFT Fieldwork Manual and understand obligations as an MFT fieldwork student and trainee, as described in the Manual
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Students will be held responsible for the completion of all prerequisite coursework and other requirements. Students who have not completed all the requirements by the deadline will not be permitted to enroll in Fieldwork.
AVAILABILITY FOR COUNSELING FIELDWORK:
Students enrolled in COUN 5289 must be available to provide service to their fieldwork site for the full 15 weeks of the semester.
NOTE: All Application Materials (Application, Site Information, Fieldwork Site Supervision Agreement) must be uploaded by 5th week of the preceding semester.
