Purpose of Survey
The purpose of this survey is to gain an understanding of the variety and diversity of courses offered at CSUSM that are either
“sustainability courses” or “
courses that include sustainability.” In addition, the survey seeks to learn about faculty research and scholarly projects that focus on sustainability or have components that connect to sustainability.
Use of Survey Results
Results from this survey will be used for internal benchmarking as well as reporting to public rating systems like the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS-
www.stars.aashe.org). Results will also be used to highlight courses and research activity related to sustainability on the university’s website and other venues (with faculty’s permission). Course content will be used for STARS, but faculty names will not be used.
