Thank you for your interest in Tech2Empower. This trip is now FULL and has a waiting list. Please sign up for our newsletter for updates about future opportunities.

Tech2Empower (T2E) is an opportunity to share your professional skills with women’s rights leaders and their organizations, and to train and mentor the next generation of women leaders, all while traveling, expanding your network and mind, making new friends, learning and having fun!

In March 2017, a team of T2E Advisors will travel to Guatemala to learn about critical human rights issues faced by women and girls, including those specific to marginalized indigenous populations. The T2E team will work together to conduct interactive technology and communications trainings for activists and leaders from women’s rights NGOs. We'll also provide communications, tech and leadership workshops for young women and girls. Workshops and trainings are designed and facilitated by T2E Master Trainer, Beth Kanter, in collaboration with Advisors and local partners.

T2E Advisors will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Learn about women's and indigenous rights in Guatemala directly from leaders in the field
  • Co-train, train and support women's rights leaders in interactive T2E workshops
  • Conduct career, leadership and tech workshops for young women and girls
  • Volunteer with organizations working for women’s and indigenous rights and against gender-based violence
  • Participate in site visits with local women's organizations
  • Network with like-minded women working locally and internationally
  • Learn about local history, visit landmarks and participate in cultural enrichment activities
  • Learn new technology, training, communications and leadership skills from Master Trainer, Beth Kanter, and fellow Advisors
