Dear Participant,
We are conducting a study to understand the nature and experience of user participation in social media campaigns. Before taking part in this study, please read the consent form below and click on the "I Agree" button at the bottom of the page if you understand the statements and freely consent to participate in the study.

Consent Form

This study involves taking a survey which is based on a 1-7 likert scale. The survey itself deals with your experience during any social media campaign of any brand in which you had willingly participated. This study is being conducted as part of a doctoral study under the guidance of Prof. S. K. Jha. The study has been approved by the ethical committee within the School of Management and involves no more than minimal risk to participants (i.e., the level of risk encountered in daily life).

The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete but is dependent on the participant reading speed. It first requests the participants to state the name of the campaign they participated in and then please answer the questions with that campaign in mind. Users can mention any one demographic information in the ‘name’ question.

This research does not gather any racial or sensitive information hence please do not provide this. No individual responses will be vetted. All responses will be pooled and taken for analysis. A standardised software for surveys is being used for the online study i.e. www.surveygizmo.com. Please read the terms and conditions at the site if you require any more information. IIT Bombay, School of Management does not own any part of this website. The survey facility provided by www.surveygizmo.com is available for free to be used by anyone on the web.

We have already successfully completed gathering few data responses and no adverse reactions have been reported. The researchers themselves have also participated in the survey and also encouraged family and friends to do so. There is no monetary or other compensation provided to complete the survey. Participation is voluntary, refusal to take part in the study involves no penalty or loss of benefits to which participants are otherwise entitled, and participants may withdraw from the study at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which they are otherwise entitled.
