Here’s how to calculate:

  • Total staff hours for your booth, (sum of the number of hours for people staffing your booth, example 1 person at six hours and 2 people at 3 hours each = 6 +3+3=12 staff hours)
  • Total travel and set-up/breakdown time for all staff: (4 hours (RT) X 3 staff members) +  (2 hours setup/breakdown X 2 staff member) = (12)+(4) = 16 hours

Visitors include people who have had meaningful interactions, but also include people who took a bookmark and moved on, people who stopped to say hello or thank the exhibitors for attending. People who ask to get their bingo cards (or other exhibitor sign in game) signed are visitors. If they stay for a discussion they could be also counted as meaningful interactions.

You should count these as meaningful interactions where:

  • NLM resources were discussed, e.g. visitors found out about a new resources or discovered the resources included features they didn’t know about,
  • Visitors found out about funding or training opportunities,
  • Visitors learned they could collaborate with NNLM,
  • Visitors learned about a service offered by NLM or NNLM,
  • Visitors conveyed how they use NLM resources or difficulties using the resources.
