How Resilient Are You?

Let's Explore (Without Guilt)

This is a self-assessment for you to reflect on how well you are doing in several areas of life and what life areas you would like to adjust so that you can enjoy your life more.

Our research shows that people with stronger overall life satisfaction, balance and resilience demonstrate certain behaviors depending on life’s challenges. The areas they focus on include physical, mental, faith/spirit/nature, support community, enjoyment and pleasure, and priority management.

They know how to get back to their “balance point” when stress increases at work or home, they know how to take care of themselves and stay on track with what is most important to them by demonstrating these resilience behaviors.

This skillset infuses their lives with more meaning, keeps them healthier, happier, and boosts their overall life productivity at work and home. It also helps them stay connected to themselves, their family, and their values.

Instructions

Without over-thinking:

  1. Consider the question, “How well do I rate myself in each life area?”

  2. Read the left hand column for the life area category. 1 is “low” and 10 “high”

  3. Review the second column with more detail on what each life area means

  4. Rate yourself for each life area, then

  5. Review areas where you score below and above 5. This gives you a visual snapshot of which areas are stronger and which need a little more attention.
