General Event Funding Information
You are completing an application for general event funding. These funds are intended to support events and activities with a general benefit to the campus community. General event grants are a maximum of $1,000.00 and 75% of your event expenses. Expenses eligible for grant funding are:
  • Food and beverage expenses
  • Entertainment or talent expenses
  • Sound and production expenses
  • Venue expenses
  • Materials and supplies expenses
Before completing this application please ensure that you have reviewed the TRUSU Grant Application Process and application deadlines to ensure that you are eligible to apply for funding for this event. 

In order to be eligible for this grant you :
  • must be a registered club or campus group;
  • must be able to demonstrate need;
  • must be able to demonstrate that you can or will secure revenue to cover a minimum of 25% of your event expenses;
  • may not have already received a TRUSU Grant for this event or activity;
  • may not be receiving course or program credit for the event or activity.

Will any members of your group be receiving course or program credit for hosting this event?
TRUSU Grants only support funding for extra-curricular activities. You are not eligible to receive funding for events which are required for the completion of a course or program. 
3. Additional Revenue *This question is required.
Does your group have plans to secure additional revenue from sources other than TRUSU Grants that will cover a minimum of 25% of your event expenses
In order to be eligible for a TRUSU Grant your club or campus group must have a plan to cover an minimum of 25% of your expenses through an alternate source of funding (ticket sales, fundraising, club contributions, etc)
4. Previous Grant Funding *This question is required.
Has your group received a General Event Grant since August 1st of this year?
5. Post-Activity Report *This question is required.
Has your group submit a post-activity report for your previous general event grant?
In order to be eligible for grant funding your must not have any outstanding grant reports from another event. 
5. Presentation *This question is required.
I am prepared to attend the board meeting at the date and time outlined on the application deadlines page to provide a brief verbal presentation of my event. 
In order to receive funding your primary applicant must be prepared to present your application to the board of directors. 
6. Processes *This question is required.
