Europe Economics survey on ESMA's BMR Technical Standards

Introduction

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is required to develop draft Technical Standards on certain topics of the Benchmarks Regulation (BMR). Europe Economics is conducting a cost-benefit analysis of ESMA's proposed draft Standards on behalf of ESMA. This survey asks questions about how the BMR and the draft Technical Standards may impact your activities. The questionnaire contains routing linked to the nature of your organisation, i.e. contributors and users are asked fewer questions than administrators. It should take about 30 minutes to complete for administrators but less time for users / contributors.

Please note the following:
  • Questions denoted by an asterisk (*) are compulsory. Therefore, for these questions, please fill in any additional boxes to which you are unable to provide a response with 'Do not know' or 'Not applicable', as appropriate, to ensure that you can progress to the next stage of the questionnaire.
  • Please do not use the 'back button' in your web browser, as this will lose your progress on the questionnaire. Only use the back button provided within the survey software at the end of each page.
  • Responses can be saved at any time after the first page by clicking the "Save and continue later" bar at the top of the page. You will be required to provide an email such that a link can be sent for you to continue completing your questionnaire at a later date. This address will not be seen by Europe Economics. If you wish, the link to the partially completed survey can be sent to someone else to continue the survey.
We thank you for your time in responding to these questions.
