DEADLINE: Please complete this survey by November 15, 2016. Going into its fifth year in British Columbia, artsVest is Business for the Arts’ national flagship program that works directly with small to mid-sized arts organizations, equipping them with in-depth training, tools and mentorship, along with the opportunity to access matching grants. artsVest is supported by the Government of Canada, and the Province of BC. The artsVest program helps spark funding partnerships between the arts and business community, while leveraging the efforts of government leadership to activate their municipal cultural plans. As a result, the whole community is bolstered by the increased investment in the creative economy. Arts organizations increase capacity and acquire the skills and confidence to seek out private funding, while local businesses better appreciate the value of investing in the arts. What is the purpose of this survey? Business for the Arts would like to hear from municipalities across BC about their interest, capacity, and community needs. By filling out the survey, you help us better understand the municipal and regional needs across the province. Filling out this survey is not required to be selected as part of the artsVest program, and also does not guarantee your community will be selected to participate in future programming. Who should fill out this survey? This survey is intended for Municipalities. Those municipalities that had previously participated in artsVest are also encouraged to complete the survey. If there is not a municipal cultural department, a municipality may choose to identify an umbrella community organization to complete the survey. This survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete. Answers can be left blank if required. Any questions about this survey can be directed to artsVest BC Program Manager, Kenji Maeda at k_maeda@businessforthearts.org.
