The Inspirational Women of Yarra Award celebrates and acknowledges the important contribution women make to our city.
Yarra City Council is committed to recognising the significant role of women in Yarra who inspire others through their paid and unpaid work.
Eligibility
This award is open to all women who live, work or study in Yarra. You are encouraged to nominate an individual or a group of women who you believe make a unique contribution to our community.
Selection criteria
Nominees will be evaluated against three criteria:
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Innovation and creativity in their work
- Significant contribution to the community
Selection process
Nominations will be reviewed by a selection panel, comprising of representatives from Council and other local organisations.
The panel will assess the applications and make a decision, with the public announcement made at the Yarra City Council International Women’s Day celebration on Thursday, 8 March 2018 at Richmond Town Hall. All nominees are invited to attend our International Women’s Day celebration where nominees will be recognised and the winner announced.
We have extended the deadline for nominations to be submitted by no later than 5pm on Monday, 19th February 2018.
