Using PBIS in Alternative School Settings
The purpose of the conference is to highlight PBIS as a way to support teachers and students in their efforts to create a safe and supportive learning environment.  The presenter will  provide a description of PBIS, highlight resources, describe general readiness requirements, and provide guidance for schools to use when selecting quality training and TA providers.  Additionally, the presenter will describe effective ways that PBIS can be incorporated into alternative school settings that typically require the frequent use of behavioral interventions.  The session will close with an opportunity for participants to ask questions around the use of PBIS and how to incorporate its use in alternative school settings.
