The City of Rocklin is seeking the community's input in creating the master plan for the second phase of Whitney Park. A blank canvas of twenty acres of undeveloped parkland sits next to the current Whitney Park and is ripe for the imagination of Rocklin residents.Whitney Park is one of five community parks in Rocklin, intended to serve a large portion of Rocklin residents by providing a broad range of passive and active recreational opportunities.
With Whitney Park already featuring traditional sports fields and playgrounds, the undeveloped space provides the opportunity for unique amenities to attract people of all ages. Imagine a park with different sections tied together by walkways, open space, and gathering areas.
This survey will be used by City and community decision-makers to prioritize park features. The feedback and eventual master plan will set a framework for the project and help to identify funding needs.
