Downer Avenue Park Improvement Survey - English

Project Background

Through the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Budget, Downer Avenue Park is set to undergo renovations. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department has prepared this brief online survey to gather community opinions regarding the existing park and how it could be improved for future enjoyment. The adjacent city-owned Hancock Street Steps are a key feature to this neighborhood and improvement will be discussed and addressed through this process with the help of Public Works (owner of the steps). Results from this survey will be presented at the first community meeting to be held in mid to late January 2017. This survey will be available until Monday, January 16th at 5:00 p.m.

Additionally, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services invites the public to future meetings to discuss these improvements. The details of the first meeting are being finalized. If you would please provide your email or home address as part of this survey, we will share with you meeting dates and project updates

We are very interested in what the community has to contribute to the design process. The information gathered in this survey along with your participation at community meetings and additional surveys will help inform the design for the park. Please share this survey with anyone that might be interested in the project and for more information, please contact the Project Manager Michele Folts at michele.folts@boston.gov or (617) 961-3025.
