Retail NZ is undertaking an analysis of the costs of retail payments in New Zealand. This is the third year we have run this survey and the results will allow us to compare over time how customers throughout New Zealand are making payments, and the cost to businesses for accepting different payment types.
The results will inform our advocacy work and will help us to raise awareness about the cost of payments, and to bring these cost down.
Your responses will be treated as strictly confidential and only high level aggregated information across all respondents will be published.
The questions ask you to provide information about your business’s volumes and values for different payments types (eg cash, EFTPOS, credit cards) and your transaction-related costs for each type during 2016. If you are a franchise operator or a buying group and do not have access to this information, please forward the survey onto your members.
