Content Writer's Role
Companies engage EmoryDay on a monthly retainer basis to manage all aspects of their Internet Marketing.
Each company (account) is assigned an EmoryDay team to manage the day-to-day activities. This team consists of a Senior Strategist, an Account Manager (overall point person responsible for the account), Graphic Designer/Web Developer, SEO specialist, Paid Search specialist and a Content Writer.
The Content Writer will work at the direction of the Account Manager to provide content material per the account requirements.

Experience
At EmoryDay, our content writers excel at developing captivating content that adheres to standard SEO optimization practices whenever applicable. The Account Manager provides direction in terms of the tonality and the overall structure of the requested content pieces, but it’s the content writer’s responsibility to have a firm grasp on the subject matter and to provide compelling content that is fully proofed and error free.

Independent Contractor vs Employee
EmoryDay employs both Independent Contractors and Full Time Employees.
Compensation
The Content Writer compensation is based on a word count rate for written content and an hourly rate for attending internal and external (client) conference calls as well as research time.
Cost Per Word: $0.10
Hourly Rate: $25.00
Virtual Environment
EmoryDay Content Writers work from home or remotely in a virtual environment.
Virtual Tools
EmoryDay utilizes a number of virtual tools to support client deliverables and as a platform for reporting (meeting agendas, analytics, completed action item updates, creative briefs, etc.). It’s important that the Content Writer have the ability to use these tools. It’s not required that you be an expert, but having general knowledge will be very beneficial to this role.

Client Meetings
EmoryDay account managers meet with their assigned clients once a week for one hour. Occasionally it will be required that the content writer attend these meetings to discuss content needs and strategy.
