This survey has been developed by members of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and members of the International Collaborative Effort (ICE) on Injury Statistics.
The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the degree of collaboration between individuals and/or institutions on injury prevention and control around the world, especially between those operating in the Global North and Global South.
Before you start with the questions, please read the following definitions carefully and keep them in mind as you think about your answers.
NOTE- you must provide ALL information in Part I: Personal Information, in order to continue with the survey.
DEFINITIONS
"Global North" and "Global South"
The definition of "Global North" and "Global South" is based on the latest classification of the United Nations' Human Development Index (HDI). This classification is useful for the purposes of this survey.
• “Global North”: Countries with very high and high HDI (see list in page 2)
• “Global South”: Countries with medium and low HDI (see list in page 3)
