OVERVIEW
All schools and districts are welcome to participate in this meeting and those with a dropout rate higher than the state average are strongly encouraged to attend.
Each participating district is expected to bring a team of four to eight (4-8) school and district staff to the meeting. Suggested members for the Team include leadership from: middle and high schools, special education, English language learner programs, guidance or student support services, the superintendent's office, data specialists, alternative education programs, and key community partners.
** Rethinking Discipline PLN and any other school or district intending to participate in the afternoon data session should also consider bringing a data specialist for the afternoon session.

10:10 - 11:10 Break Out Sessions: Using Behavioral and Psycho-social Data to Inform Interventions; Designing PD for Inclusive Practices: a Blended Learning Approach; Social Emotional Learning; Restorative Practices; Using ATrauma Sensitive Lens;
11:15 - 12:30 Break and move to Case Consultancy

1:00 -3:00 - Afternoon Session: Leveraging Data Resources: ESE staff will present multiple data tools available from the Department. Participants should bring laptops so they can begin looking at their data with guidance from ESE staff.
FYI: Case Consultancy is a structured process for helping teams to think more expansively about a particular, concrete dilemma. Each district team will be paired with another district team. One team will share the background on their dilemma and then pose a question to the other team for their consideration and feedback. When time is up, the facilitator will then ask the district teams to switch roles so the second team will present their dilemma and question for consideration and feedback.
Lunch: ESE does not provide food or beverages; however, participants can pre-order a boxed lunch in the morning. There will be hotel staff available to take orders.

ABOUT THE DROPOUT PREVENTION & RE-ENGAGEMENT WORK GROUP:
The Dropout Prevention & Re-Engagement Work Group was created several years ago. The purpose of the Work Group is to provide:
- Structured opportunities for districts to learn from each other
- A venue for sharing information from “experts” – from both within and outside of the state
- Facilitated time for districts teams to develop or refine a dropout prevention and recovery action plan
