DORS is not accepting additional requests for Group Career Counseling Sessions to be completed before July 22, 2017.
If you have consumers who require documentation of career counseling provision between now and July 22, 2017, you may ask them to watch a video available on the DORS website. Follow the Community Partners link to the 14(C) Program Resources and then select the link entitled "Benefits Planning Services for Subminimum Wage Earners."
This video is provided for the purpose of providing career counseling, information and referral services related to benefits planning services. Individuals are advised to watch this video with other interested parties, such as parents, legal guardians, and/or Social Security representative payees.
Before watching the video, individuals will answer several questions so that DORS can send a Proof of Service letter to the individual. The individual can either give that letter to his or her employer or give DORS permission to send the letter to the employer to document that career counseling, information, and referral services were received.
