CRPA Conference Speaker Proposal Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming an educational speaker for CRPA! The information on the following form is necessary to ensure that the committee reviewing the information have what is needed for approval of your session for CEU'S if selected. In the following pages, you will have the opportunity to select which event you would like your educational session to be considered for. If you would like to submit multiple sessions, please complete a separate survey for each topic. Please be aware that it will be reviewed independently by each committee and the decisions for each event may differ. Thus, if your session is accepted for one event, it may or may not be selected for another.

Each session should include information that:

  • Is relevant and practical to the field and relevant to the theme of the specific event
  • Provides the opportunity to share and network with fellow professionals in the field
  • Addresses new ideas, creative problem solving, practical tools, and innovative techniques

Presentation Length:

  • 1 Hour Workshop (note conference sessions are only 1 hour in length)
  • 1.5 Hour Workshop
  • 2 Hour Workshop
  • 2.5 Hour Workshop or More

Deadlines for Submission: May 1, 2017 ( Notification of your proposal's acceptance will be by May 31st, 2017)  

Target Audience: Conference attendees will include directors, supervisors, managers, program coordinators, administrative staff, support and frontline staff, and students from both public and private organizations in the field of parks and recreation. The audience ranges from new and part-time employees to professionals with more than 20 years of experience.

Model Training: We are looking for sessions that highlight programs you can duplicate back at another department/agency!  We're calling them "Model Training Programs".  They incorporate elements for new and veteran employees, as well as a variety of learning formats for all types of learners—we are looking for a mix of video, team-building, and face-to-face training activities for all ages.

Submission Procedures: Sessions must be submitted using this online form. One form must be submitted for each session topic.  Submissions that are faxed or mailed will not be considered. If you need assistance completing this form, please contact any committee member listed below.
