The
GEAR UP Community Partner of the Year may be an individual or organization committed to the GEAR UP movement and the goal of ensuring that college access and success is available to all students. Through their work with a GEAR UP grant, this person exudes the passion, professionalism, and perseverance to effectively assist low-income students in their quest to access and succeed in college. We encourage you to think of the heroes who work with your GEAR UP grant to ensure student success.
In this application, you will have the opportunity to write about your nominee and upload supplemental materials (e.g., videos, photos, article clippings, or letter of recommendations), which are accepted and encouraged.
Requirements:
- Nominee may not be paid by a GEAR UP grant.
- Nominee’s work goes above and beyond in their efforts to advance the GEAR UP movement and objectives of a GEAR UP grant.
- Nominee has provided exceptional contributions to a GEAR UP grant, such as equipment or materials, influence, access, brain power, etc.
- Nomination must be signed by the GEAR UP Director.
- All award nominations are due on May12, 2017
