Far West Wheelchair Athletic Association (FWWAA) and the Northern California Paralympic Regional Sport program, will host Valor Games Far West (VGFW) Friday, June 2 - Monday, June 5 at Coast Guard Island; Alameda, CA. Your interest in participation is appreciated. This event will provide introductory level sports competition for Veterans with disabilities eligible for VA healthcare. The Valor Games will offer competition in archery, biathlon, cycling, the field sports of shot put and discus throw, paratriathlon, powerlifting, indoor rowing and swimming.
Completing this application does not guarantee participation in the VGFW.  

All eligible athletes are encouraged to apply, however priority in this year’s games is given to:

  1. Athletes who have not competed in a previous VGFW and live in the Western Region of the United States (for example: HI, AK, CA, NV, WA, OR, AZ, NM, CO, UT, ID, WY, MT)
  2. Returning athletes who have competed in a previous VGFW and live in the Western Region of the United States. Returning athletes will be made aware of their status no later than May 1, 2017.
Applications will be reviewed by the Application Committee and athletes will be notified on the status of their application within five (5) business days, and no later than May 26, 2017.
