2017-2018 Alt+Shift Training Application - Accessible Materials Made Right

Alt+Shift has developed Accessible Materials Made Right, a regional two-day workshop for public schools in Michigan intended to help answer questions and equip participants with the skills and understanding needed to begin creating accessible materials.  For more information about this training and the work we are proposing to do, please refer to the "Accessible Materials Made Right Information Guide."

Because the goal is to address this issue in a lasting and impactful way, Alt+Shift will work to provide resources beyond the two-day training, including online materials and resources, with the goal of helping workshop participants offer their own training and support after they return to their districts.

Districts completing this application should be ready to commit to:
  • Working towards shifting the culture of the whole district to reflect the importance of accessibility
  • Sending a team to attend the two-day workshop
  • Providing sufficient support to that team to ensure all digital materials within the district are accessible
  • Responding to requests from Alt+Shift for information on the status of implementation and accessibility of websites and documents
Thank you for your interest in this work.  We will review this application and be in touch with you regarding registration for the workshop.
