In 2008, five countries were responsible for 93% of the world’s executions – China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the USA. The death penalty has now been abolished in over two thirds of the world’s countries. Do you believe the USA should also eradicate this kind of punishment?
We are a group of students from the Gewerblich-industrielle baccalaureate school in Basel, Switzerland. As part of our degree, we are required to complete a research project of our choice. For this we have chosen to carry out an investigation into the opinions of American citizens regarding the death penalty.
