Getting Around DC Sustainably: A Workshop on Green Transportation Options

rd from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm, the District Department of Energy and Environment and the State Department’s Greening Diplomacy Initiative is hosting a transportation workshop for embassy employees to help familiarize them with the city’s various transportation options. Representatives from
goDCgo, the
Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), and
WMATA will be presenting about their respective services and resources. Presenters will cover the different memberships and/or pass options for riding public transit and bikeshare, how to safely navigate DC by bike, and what apps are available to aid in trip planning. This workshop aims to help embassies in their work towards meeting the transportation goals in the Diplomatic Institution Sustainability Pledge, a voluntary program for embassies and other international institutions to increase the sustainability of their operations and staff.
