CMC Application for Assistance

The Chesapeake Monitoring Cooperative (CMC) is a group of leading service providers that offer technical, programmatic, and outreach support for the integration of water quality and benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring data into the Chesapeake Bay Program partnership.

CMC assistance is available to eligible organizations at no cost, fill out the following application form to apply. If you have an existing monitoring program, please complete the Chesapeake Monitoring Census to tell us about your current monitoring efforts before completing the following application form. Minimum eligibility requirements for seeking assistance:
  • Currently monitoring or interested in starting to monitor water quality in the Chesapeake Bay watershed
  • Willing to follow the CMC guidelines for sample collection, analysis, and quality assurance procedures or provide your current guidelines for sample collection, analysis, and quality assurance procedure for review
  • Willing to participate in the partnership for a minimum of one year
By accepting CMC assistance, your organization acknowledges all monitoring data will be uploaded into the Chesapeake Data Explorer database.
