Access Citizens Survey

Introduction

People with access needs make up 24% of New Zealand's population, and every one of us is likely to have an access need at some point in our lives through ageing, parenthood, accident, or temporary and permanent disability. Be. Accessible's mission is to help bring about a 100% accessible society for all New Zealanders.

Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions about the kinds of public activities and events you participate in, as well as what you would like to participate in if accessibility was improved.

Your feedback will help Be. Accessible to work constructively with central and local government, community organisations and private businesses so that full access to and participation in public life can be enjoyed by all New Zealanders.

We are hoping to hear from people who are already counted in official statistics as having an access need, as well as those who have access needs due to temporary disability or life-stage e.g. parenthood or ageing.

This research is being conducted by Cogo Consulting, an independent research and evaluation consultancy. All information you provide will be completely confidential, anonymised for reporting, and will not be shared with third parties under any circumstances.

The survey will take around ten minutes to complete and all completed responses will go in a prize draw to win a $250 shopping voucher from a retailer of your choice, to be drawn on July 15th 2017.

Please make sure you provide your phone number or email address at the end of the survey, so that we can contact you if you're the lucky winner.
