DHS Individual/Team Scholarship Application: Basic Forensic Interview Training

Thank you for your interest in attending CornerHouse Basic Forensic Interview Training!  The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) funds a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of the fees CornerHouse charges to provide this training. 

Scholarship recipients are responsible for any and all other costs of attending this training, including travel, lodging, some meals and any other incidental expenses. Scholarship recipients are also responsible for a $200 non-refundable registration fee. This fee is only charged if the applicant receives and accepts the scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:
  1. Employment in the state of Minnesota.  DHS scholarships are not available to individuals or teams from other states or countries.
  2. A complete, timely application form.  Applications that are incomplete or late will not be considered.
  3. DHS requires that CornerHouse give priority to applications from individuals or teams from Minnesota counties with a low ratio of CornerHouse-trained forensic interviewers to county population (2010 census). Multidisciplinary teams who apply together are also given one priority point.
Estimated time to gather information required to complete this application: 1 hour.
Estimated time to fill in this application: 25-30 minutes.
