NSAESC Mentoring Technical Assistance

The National Student Attendance, Engagement, and Success Center (NSAESC) is excited to offer training and technical assistance to eligible districts and states around the implementation of mentoring best practices. Success Mentors is an evidence-based model that has been successfully utilized in school districts across the country to reduce chronic absenteeism and promote student success.

The NSAESC is working with MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership and its network of state and local affiliates to offer no-cost training and technical assistance (TA) for schools and districts implementing or interested in implementing the Success Mentors model to address chronic absenteeism and/or promote student engagement and achievement. Applicants can access up to 50 hours of training and TA, depending on need and availability, either virtually or in-person to address any needs you may have with regard to mentoring best practices and support you in designing, launching, and implementing a sustainable Success Mentors program in your school/district. Areas of focus can include mentor recruitment, supporting mentors, training mentors, training school staff in mentoring best practices, developing a policies and procedures manual, scaling your program, etc.
