Impact of Alternative Asphalt Binder Extenders on Asphalt Mixture Design, Production and Performance

Introduction and Survey Consent

Introduction

NAPA and the State Asphalt Pavement Associations are supporting a study to learn about the Impact of Alternative Asphalt Binder Extenders on Asphalt Mixture Design, Production and Performance. Alternative Binders are defined as: Any binder not produced from distillation of petroleum (crude oil). Examples are bio-based binders from renewable resources like soy, corn, …even biomass sewage. They also include recycled and re-refined oils such as vegetable, cooking and motor oils.
