The Nuclear and Radiation Studies Board is seeking nominations for experts to serve on the committee that will carry out this study. We are seeking committee members with the following technical and policy expertise:
We are seeking experts in areas such as:
· Nuclear waste form processing and fabrication
· Transportation of radioactive waste and special nuclear materials, including: routing; operations; safety and security requirements; and nuclear material safeguards requirements
· Radioactive waste management practices and operations
· Repository performance assessments and safety analyses
· Law and regulation related to the management and disposal of radioactive waste
· Risk assessment and communication
