Library - Instruction Request Form

  • Library Instruction must be requested at least a week in advance of your preferred date to allow adequate time for the librarian to prepare. We will make our best effort to accommodate all requests.
  • The online library instruction session will take place in Blackboard Collaborate. Please contact Jenny Hatleberg (240-567-1685) to set up the link for students.
  • A recording of the session can be made for students who cannot attend at the scheduled time. The recording link will be available from within your Blackboard course site.
  • Professors or their substitutes are expected to attend library instruction sessions. 
  • Library instruction must be requested at least a week in advance of your preferred date to allow adequate time for the librarian to prepare a customized session. This also allows for a dialogue between faculty and librarians to discuss class assignments and instruction expectations. We will make our best effort to accommodate all requests.

  • The library is able to accommodate, at most, two instruction sessions per CRN/Section.

Flipping the session frees up valuable time for student-directed research, allowing the librarian to serve as a one-on-one research expert as students apply their new knowledge.
