OVERVIEW
All schools and districts are welcome to participate in this meeting and those with a dropout rate higher than the state average are strongly encouraged to attend.  This gathering will present ideas on how to create student-centered school models that offer opportunities for student success outside the traditional school design.

Each participating district is expected to bring a team of four to eight (4-8) school and district staff to the meeting. Suggested members for the Team include leadership from: middle and high schools, special education, English language learner programs, guidance or student support services, the superintendent's office, data specialists, alternative education programs, and key community partners.

 12:30 End

1:00  -2:30 - Lunch/Afternoon Session:   Leveraging Data Resources:
ESE staff will be available for a more in-depth, hands-on presentation about the multiple data tools available from the Department that can help districts design programs/schools for targeted student populations. Participants should bring laptops so they can begin looking at their data with guidance from ESE staff.

FYI:  Case Consultancy is a structured process for helping teams to think more expansively about a particular, concrete dilemma.  Each district team will be paired with another district team.  One team will  share the background on their dilemma and then pose a question to the other team for their consideration and feedback.  When time is up, the facilitator will then ask  the district teams to switch roles so the second team will present their dilemma and question for consideration and feedback.

Lunch:  ESE does not provide food or beverages; however, participants can pre-order a boxed lunch in the morning. There will be hotel staff available to take orders.

Please complete the online registration form below by October 20, 2017 for all members of your School/District Team
