d/Deaf Children and Online Safety

d/Deaf Children and Online Safety

Through Childline we provide thousands of children and young people with support and advice on how to stay safe online. This includes Childline web pages about online safety, with advice and information on issues such as online grooming, gaming and cyber-bullying. The NSPCC also supports parents and carers and professionals working with children by providing resources and information about how to keep children safe.

We are looking at how we can adapt our resources and information to meet the specific requirements and vulnerabilities of d/Deaf Children and we would like your help.

As someone working with children that are d/Deaf we would like to hear from you about how best we can meet their needs, what any new resources should include and the format they should take. We'd also like to know how best we can reach these young people, their parents/carers and those working with them, with this advice and support.

This survey will take approximately ten minutes. Your response is anonymous (no personal information is collected or shared) but if you have any questions about the survey or would like to talk to us about it, you can contact

Child.OnlineSafetyMailbox@NSPCC.org.uk

Thank you for your help.
