Data Request Form

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is here to assist members of the college community with data needs to complete projects and reports, grant proposals, and to inform decision-making. Data of this nature is varied and could include program enrollment, departmental retention or graduation rates, student profiles, or aggregated results of student surveys. Because there is such variety. the Office of Institutional Effectiveness has developed the following process to help expedite completion of your data request.

To comply with FERPA confidentiality guidelines, some data requests may be marked by IE as "for internal use only" an may not be used for purposes outside the request.
If the data you need is not available on the IE webpage, please complete the Data Request Form below.
The data you need may already be posted on the IE webpage. Before contacting IE with a data request, please verify that the information you need cannot be retrieved from existing IE reports, which can be found at http://www.carteret.edu/about-carteret/institutional-effectiveness/research-and-reports

Purpose of Request

7. Please be as detailed as possible. A detailed purpose may help us determine the most appropriate data set to send you.

Data Request Description

8. Please provide a detailed description of the data requested, including any selection criteria (i.e. first-time students, minority male students, students between the ages of 18 and 30). Please include with your request whether you want identifying information such as student names, contact information, or student ID numbers.

Point-in-Time Requested

9. IE data is not real-time; it is structured in a fixed point in time such as Fall 2016 or AY 2015-2016. Please indicate the point(s)-in-time needed with your data requests. In addition, when requesting longitudinal data or data over a series of years, please indicate the semesters to be included. For example, if you request three years of data please specify which academic years (AY 2012-2013; AY 2013-2014; AY2014-2015) and which semesters (FA, SP, SU).
